Gujarat Titans are sitting at the top of the table after 7 games in this year’s IPL. So far, they have been one of the most consistent teams this season.
Hits
The top three of Gujarat Titans — Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler — have been the backbone of their batting line-up. The trio has consistently ensured that at least one of them stays till the end to see the team through. Sai Sudharsan has been the standout performer with 365 runs at an average of 52.14 and a strike rate of 153.36. Jos Buttler has matched him toe-to-toe with 315 runs at an average of 63 and a strike rate of 164. Shubman Gill has also chipped in with 215 runs so far.

Poll

Who has been the standout performer for Gujarat Titans this season?

Apart from them, Sherfane Rutherford has contributed with important cameos. In the bowling department, Prasidh Krishna has been their standout performer, picking up 14 wickets at an average of 14.35 and an economy of 7.44. He is currently the purple cap holder. Spinner Sai Kishore and pacer Mohammad Siraj have also been impressive, with 11 wickets each so far.
Who’s that IPL player?
Misses
The Titans’ lower middle order hasn’t been tested much this season, as one of the top three has always stayed till the end to finish games. It remains to be seen how they will handle pressure situations if the top order fails. In the bowling department, Rashid Khan has not quite found his rhythm and is looking like a pale shadow of his former self.

Playoff Chances
Gujarat Titans have a very strong chance of making it to the playoffs. They’ve already won 5 out of their first 7 matches and would need just 3 more wins to seal the deal. But GT won’t just want to qualify; they’ll have their eyes on a second IPL title.
