RR vs RCB Live Score, IPL 2025: RR, RCB seek return to winning ways

Word Count: 645 | Estimated Reading Time: 4 minutes

Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Live Score, IPL 2025: Phil Salt and Virat Kohli face a challenging encounter against Jofra Archer’s rapid pace as Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) seek to return to winning form in the IPL on Sunday. Both sides enter the match following recent losses.

RCB suffered a six-wicket defeat to Delhi Capitals, whilst RR experienced a substantial 58-run loss against Gujarat Titans.

With three victories in five matches, RCB holds the fourth position in the table, whilst RR sits at seventh place with one fewer win in the same number of games.

The British fast bowler Archer has demonstrated remarkable improvement since conceding the IPL’s most expensive spell in the season opener.

Consistently delivering speeds above 144 kph, the English quick has effectively troubled and dismissed batsmen.

His impressive figures of 3/25 against Punjab Kings included a spectacular 148.6 kph delivery that dismantled Shreyas Iyer’s stumps.
Against Gujarat Titans, he reached speeds of 152.3 kph and dismissed captain Shubman Gill with a 147.7 kph inswinger.

On Saturday, Archer’s primary objective will be dismissing Kohli (186 runs) and his compatriot Salt (143 runs), both capable of dominating matches rapidly.

Despite scoring two half-centuries, Kohli’s performance has been inconsistent this season. Partnering with the aggressive Salt, who starts attacking immediately, has allowed the former India captain to play with measured aggression. He aims to achieve greater batting consistency.

RCB’s strength also lies in captain Rajat Patidar’s current form, whilst Tim David and Liam Livingstone provide powerful finishing capabilities in the middle and lower order.

The Bengaluru team, yet to clinch their maiden IPL championship, possesses a formidable fast bowling unit led by Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, though their spinners need to deliver more consistently.

Their batting lineup boasts considerable talent, featuring Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana in the top order, whilst the dynamic pair of Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer occupy the lower batting positions.
