Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja says her husband enjoys the company of stupid people: 'I prefer to talk less'
Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, recently shared her thoughts on their marriage, noting they now live separately. She prefers meditation and family time over engaging with what she calls “stupid” yes-men. Sunita has celebrated her birthdays alone for 12 years, wanting to focus on herself as their children have grown.

Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently shared candid opinions about her husband’s lifestyle. In an interview, she mentioned that Govinda stays up until 2:30 am every night, surrounded by what she calls “stupid” yes-men who engage in “nonsense” talk, which she dislikes.
In a conversation with Curly Tales, Sunita revealed that Govinda’s erratic sleep schedule, with him going to bed around 2:30 am, is a long-standing issue stemming from his years of working around the clock. This pattern has become a deeply ingrained habit for him.
Ahuja shared that she and Govinda are very different individuals. She prefers to speak less and not waste her energy on insignificant people, stating, “I don’t like to waste my energy on stupid people.” In contrast, she noted that Govinda enjoys the company of such individuals, often sitting with them and engaging in nonsensical conversations, which she dislikes. Instead, Sunita focuses her energy on meditation and prayer.
Sunita revealed that she has been celebrating her birthdays alone for the past 12 years. She explained that after dedicating many years to her children, she now wants to live for herself. Her tradition involves praying at a temple or Gurudwara during the day, and then, as soon as the clock strikes 8 PM, she opens a bottle of alcohol, cuts a cake, and enjoys the evening by herself.
Ahuja and Govinda have been married for over 35 years and have a son Yashvardhan Ahuja and a daughter Tina Ahuja. They met at a family wedding, and their love story blossomed during ‘Tan-Badan’. They married secretly in 1987 to protect Govinda’s career.
