Shraddha Kapoor might replace Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane in 'Sanam Teri Kasam 2' opposite Harsvardhan Rane; netizens REACT

After Stree 2’s success, Shraddha Kapoor has become one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars, reportedly in talks for multiple Maddock horror comedies. Amid speculations, filmmakers Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru were asked about casting her in a Sanam Teri Kasam sequel.
During a chat with Instant Bollywood, Radhika and Vinay were informed that some fans want Shraddha Kapoor opposite Harshvardhan Rane in Sanam Teri Kasam 2. With Mawra Hocane’s character dying in the original film, a new addition is possible. While Shraddha’s fans may be excited, loyal fans of the original seem hesitant about the change.

The internet had mixed reactions—while some movie buffs were thrilled, others were unsure about the change. While one user said, ‘Shraddha Kapoor has done ashiqui 2 and villain movie so definitely she can play such characters very easily’, another one added, ‘Harsh nd Shraddha will make it superhit’.

However, there are many netizens who feel Shraddha is not the right fit and Mawra should be brought back. While one user wrote, ‘Shraddha Sirf Aditya Roy Kapoor ke sath achi lagti hai nd Harshwardhan sir ke sath Mawara but Agar Mawara nhi toh Tamanah Bhatia’, another one added, ‘Nhi yrr only saru nhi to flop ho jayegi’.
Meanwhile, Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane’s Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released this month and is now among the highest-grossing re-released Indian films.
