‘Chhaava‘ has been roaring at the box office and the numbers are proof! The film not only made Rs 100 crore on its first weekend, but it has also managed to remain steady on Monday. To add to it, the Tuesday numbers were higher than the Monday numbers. On Monday, it also became Vicky’s second highest grossing movie as it crossed the record of ‘Raazi’ which had him alongside Alia Bhatt.
The film made Rs 24 crore on its first Monday while on Tuesday, which was day 5, it made Rs 25.5 crore. Meanwhile, on day 6, Wednesday, as per the early trends, the movie is expected to be in the similar range of Monday and Tuesday. Up till, Wednesday afternoon, the movie had made Rs 11.56 crore. Thus, if there is growth in the numbers by evening and night, the film may be expected to cross Rs 200 crore by Wednesday evening or by Thursday morning. At the moment, there has been growth in the numbers and footfalls due to positive word of mouth. There are also talks that the film may be made tax-free in Maharashtra as the Mumbai Dabbawala Association has made an appeal to CM Devendra Fadnavis.
There’s no other movie giving it a competition, hence it’s expected that the film will remain steady over this whole week and even on its second weekend. Eventually, with its lifetime numbers, ‘Chhaava’ may break the record of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ and become the highest grossing Vicky Kaushal movie.
