Speaking about the bail, Advocate Mayank Pachauri, lawyer of the accused said, “We moved a bail application in the court. The court granted bail with one surety. The injured, labourers from Chhattisgarh, were rushed to a nearby hospital and are reportedly out of danger, though they suffered leg fractures. A video of the aftermath surfaced online, capturing a conversation where a local questioned the driver about casualties, to which he responded, “Did anyone die here?” before stepping out of the car.
Police identified Deepak as a resident of Ajmer, with the car registered in Puducherry. He was arrested, and the vehicle was seized. During questioning, he claimed the accident occurred due to a fault in the car.
