Watch: Fan thrashed for trying to breach Eden Gardens security to meet KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan
A youngster was thrashed by security at Eden Gardens for trying to climb the fence and get close to Shah Rukh Khan.

During the Indian Premier League (IPL) opener between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22, a fan got close to RCB batter Virat Kohli, touched his feet, got a hug before being whisked away by security. That wasn’t the only attempt at evading security at Eden Gardens that night.
A video has emerged that suggests another fan tried to climb the fence and get close to KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan but was unsuccessful in his attempt. The fan was subsequently brought down and thrashed by the security for his attempt.

A viral video captured the incident showing the fan in the act of getting close to the Bollywood icon.
“The moment I touched his feet, Virat Kohli sir, asked my name and said, ‘Jaldi se bhaag jaa (run away fast). He even asked the security to not hit me,” the 18-year-old Pakhira said on the incident with Kohli.
He was arrested for breaking the law and slapped with BNS sections on application of criminal force, criminal trespass and reckless action putting lives or safety of others in danger. He was sent to police custody for a day.
It was not the only security gaffe this IPL. On Wednesday, a youngster touched the feet of Rajasthan Royals’ stand-in captain Riyan Parag during their match against KKR in Guwahati.
