NEW DELHI: Two security personnel were injured after Naxalites triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police told news agency PTI. The explosion occurred amid ongoing anti-Naxal operations in the region.

Recent intelligence suggests that Maoists are relying more on explosives due to a decline in arms and ammunition, as reported by PTI. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and specialised units like the CoBRA commandos have been intensifying their operations, uncovering Maoist hideouts and seizing weapons and explosives.
