Lucknow Super Giants enter IPL 2025 with lack of clarity over their seamers.

Lucknow: With pacers Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav and Akash Deep conspicuously missing in training sessions, the pace contingent of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is facing injury concerns ahead of the IPL season beginning this weekend.
Akash Deep is missing from the camp preceding the opening fixture against Delhi Capitals on March 24. His previous stint with RCB yielded 7 wickets across eight matches in three seasons.

Akash Deep hasn’t joined the LSG practice sessions yet, though he was spotted at a preparatory camp a month ago. The team management has maintained silence on his fitness status.
LSG acquired him for Rs 8 crore during the mega auction in November last year.

Mohsin was seen in practice sessions but was missing in practice matches, indicating his ongoing recovery phase. Meanwhile, Avesh Khan and Mayank Yadav continue their rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy (Bengaluru), explaining their absence from team sessions.
Encouraging news emerged from NCA for LSG when footage of their premier pacer Mayank Yadav bowling at nets surfaced on social media. Regarded as one of India’s most promising players, injuries have impeded his progress. Yadav, out of action since October 2024, is expected to miss the initial phase of IPL 2025.
LSG retained him for Rs 11 crore ahead of IPL 2025.
Notably, Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur was spotted at LSG camp on Sunday. The 33-year-old Mumbai player had remained unsold in the mega IPL 2025 auction in November.
