'Aap sabko Happy Holi': Olympic medallists Manu Bhaker, Neeraj Chopra celebrate in style

NEW DELHI: Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra, two of India’s most celebrated sporting icons, embraced the vibrant spirit of Holi, the festival of colours, on Friday. Their joyous celebrations were shared on their respective social media handles, offering a glimpse into their festive moments.
Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic javelin champion, known for his remarkable throwing prowess, immersed himself in the festive spirit. He shared a video on his social media handle, captioned “Happy Holi!”
The clip creatively incorporated his sport into the celebration, showcasing him throwing a javelin amidst the vibrant hues of the festival.
Manu Bhaker, the ace shooter, also embraced the vibrant colours of the occasion. She posted a picture on her social media handle with the caption, “Holi ab vs pehle, Aap sabko HAPPY HOLI!!”
Both athletes, who have proudly represented India on the global stage, shared their Holi celebrations, allowing their fans and followers to partake in their festive moments. These glimpses into their personal lives showcased their ability to strike a balance between their sporting pursuits and cultural traditions.
Manu Bhaker’s impressive record speaks volumes about her dedication and skill. She has secured two Olympic medals, seven medals at the Asian Games and Asian Championships, and an impressive tally of 21 medals at the World Championships and World Cups.
Her achievements have cemented her position as one of India’s most accomplished shooters.
Neeraj Chopra, regarded as India’s finest javelin thrower, has etched his name in the annals of sporting history. A double Olympic medallist, he has also won medals at the World Championships and Asian Games.
Chopra has claimed the prestigious Diamond League title once and made history by winning the gold medal at the 2020 Olympics, becoming the first Asian athlete to achieve this feat in javelin throw.
