Imran Khan's comeback film starring Bhumi Pednekar to begin shooting in a month

Actor Imran Khan is officially set to make his much anticipated return to acting after nearly a decade, and fans are buzzing with excitement. The actor, best known for his roles in films like ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ and ‘Break Ke Baad’, will star alongside Bhumi Pednekar in a romantic comedy helmed by Danish Aslam, who previously worked with Imran and Deepika Padukone on the 2010 rom-com ‘Break Ke Baad’.

According to a Hindustan Times report, the film’s shooting is scheduled to commence in a month. Pre-production is already in full swing, with the script, written by Suhani Kanwar, nearing its final draft. The project is being produced collaboratively by Imran Khan, Danish Aslam, and another mutual partner under the banner of Open Air Films. A source revealed, “The OTT platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The cameras will roll in a month.”
Initially, as per a PeepingMoon report suggested that shooting was tentatively scheduled to start in March 2025. It also described the yet-to-be-titled film as a lighthearted entertainer, bringing back the kind of roles that made Imran Khan popular.

As per ABP news, in the past when as asked about his upcoming project, Imran had said, “I can’t really talk about that too much right now. I am working with him (Imran) on something, and there has already been some stuff about it in the press as well. Some of it is true, some of it is not. Unfortunately, it is a project that is still a work in progress. So, the moment things are locked and fall into place, we will very happily announce it to the world. But all I can say is that I am working with Imran Khan on something.”
Imran Khan has stayed away from acting and the mainstream spotlight since his last film, ‘Katti Batti’, released in 2015. In the romantic drama, he starred opposite Kangana Ranaut.
