Bollywood fans were in for a delightful surprise as Shah Rukh Khan and legendary actress Zeenat Aman reunited for a special ad shoot, bringing back major Don nostalgia.
The duo shared screen space for a rice brand advertisement, where SRK put his much-talked-about turned culinary skills to the test as he turned chef for a charming biryani date with Zeenat. In the ad, Shah Rukh is seen preparing an exquisite meal, showcasing his cooking skills. While he was at it, he even appears to hang up a call with his wife Gauri Khan, while revealing that he is “making a dawat for someone special.”
It is only when he opens his door that fans see Zeenat standing in her trademark sunglasses and a regal outfit.
The veteran actress, who played the iconic Roma in the original Don, looked as elegant as ever, making fans nostalgic about her shared Don cinematic connection with SRK. Fans couldn’t contain their joy, calling it “the reunion we never knew we needed.” Many took to Twitter (X) to express their admiration, with one user writing, “Don cooking for Roma?” while another said, “Don with original Roma!”
As far as the Don movie franchise is concerned, Ranveer Singh is next in line to take up the mantle. The actor is set to play Don in the third instalment, believed to be a reboot of the franchise, after Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan’s turn as the character. While the project was set to go on floors, there have been some delays. Rumour has it that lead actress Kiara Advani’s pregnancy has prompted the makers to recast her for the upcoming venture. However, these reports are still unconfirmed.
