The estranged daughter of Elon Musk Vivian Jenna Wilson has alleged that her father utilised sex-selective IVF during her conception, stating that Musk viewed her transgender identity as contrary to his intended outcome.
On Monday, Wilson shared on social media platform Threads: “My assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for.” “So when I was feminine as a child and then turned out to be transgender, I was going against the product that was sold. That expectation of masculinity that I had to rebel against all my life was a monetary transaction. A monetary transaction. A MONETARY TRANSACTION,” she added.

Questions surrounding Musk’s parenting have persisted. He has 14 children, with tech executive Shivon Zilis announcing their newest child on February 14 via X. They share four children. Recently, social media personality Ashely St. Clair claimed to have birthed his 13th child and is pursuing full custody.
According to Forbes’ 2022 report, five of Musk’s children were conceived through IVF, all registered as male at birth. The report also hinted at Musk’s systematic approach to reproduction.
While sex-selective IVF remains legal in the United States, several European nations and Canada prohibit this practice, as stated by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
The 20-year-old’s recent post has received no response from Musk. Previously, in 2022, she officially altered her name and gender, citing both her identity and desire to sever all connections with her biological father, as documented in court papers obtained by NBC News.
Wilson maintained privacy till last year, Vivian took to social media after her biological father claimed that she has been “killed by the woke-mind virus”. She contested his statements on social media, declaring them “entirely fake” and revealing that it was her who cut-off all ties and disowned her father.
Meanwhile, earlier this month it was reported that Wilson once again discovered a new half-sibling online—marking the seventh time this has happened. Wilson, 20, reacted to the news of Musk’s 14th known child by updating a previous social media joke about learning of new siblings through the internet.
The latest addition, a son named Seldon Lycurgus, was announced by Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, who now shares three children with Musk. Wilson had previously joked on Threads about repeatedly finding out about new siblings online, a post she later updated with the count raised from six to seven.
