Chhaava box office collection Day 25: Vicky Kaushal starrer witnesses a drop on 4th Monday, mints only Rs.6.25 crore

Headlined by Vicky Kaushal, the historical drama ‘Chhaava’ has entered its 4th week. After a theatrical run of 25 days, the movie officially surpassed the Rs.500 crore mark. It is 2025’s first Bollywood film to reach this milestone.
Based on the book of the same title, ‘Chhaava,’ on its 25th day made a business of Rs.6.25 crore, making the total Rs.526.05 crore, according to a Sacnilk report.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie’s debut weekend saw impressive numbers. According to the Sacnilk report, in week 1 the film made ₹219.25 crore. Week 2 saw a little drop and made movie minted ₹ 180.25 crore. The numbers dropped further in week 3, as the film collected ₹84.5 crore. In week 4, after 4 days, the total stands at around ₹43 crore.
The film benefited from the weekend. On Saturday, the movie made ₹16.75 Cr [Hindi: ₹13.5 Cr; Telugu: ₹3.25 Cr], and with a dip of around 30 percent on Sunday, it minted ₹10.75 Cr, in which ₹8.5 Cr came from Hindi and ₹ 2.25 Cr from Telugu.
With these numbers, ‘Chhaava’ has become the highest earner of 2025 and the biggest box office success of Vicky Kaushal’s career. Here’s the box office report of Vicky’s earlier releases:
‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ – ₹ 244.14 crore
‘Raazi’ – ₹123.74 crore
‘Sam Bahadur’ – ₹ 93.95 crore
‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ – ₹ 88.35 crore
Reflecting on the success of the movie, Vicky Kaushal shared a social media post, “Thank you for your immense love.”
Meanwhile, ETimes gave the movie a 3.5 star rating and our review reads – “Based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel, Chhaava (lion’s cub) aims to acknowledge the bravery of Shambhu Raje (Sambhaji Maharaj played by Vicky Kaushal), that most history books haven’t been able to. There’s more to him than being Shivaji’s son who was betrayed by his own men, captured and brutally executed by Aurangzeb (played by Akshaye Khanna). The film sheds light on why he was widely revered by his people and feared by rivals in the nine years that he held the Maratha throne.”
