TimesofIndia.com in Dubai: India bowling coach Morne Morkel is likely to leave from Dubai, if not already, due to a personal emergency back home. Morkel arrived with the Indian cricket team, for the ICC Champions Trophy, on February 15 and attended the team’s afternoon practice session at the ICC Academy on February 16.
Morkel, however, missed the team’s practice session on Monday (February 17). The entire contingent was in attendance with Morkel the notable absentee from India’s first session under lights.

The Indian cricket team now has an off day and are likely to train on February 19 before starting their Champions Trophy campaign versus Bangladesh the next day.
During the session on Monday, the biggest positive from the Indian camp was that Rishabh Pant arrived without any strapping on his left knee. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter was struck on Sunday during a freak incident. After getting attention from the physios and ice packs, Pant had limped off the session.
A day later, Pant got off the team bus comfortably and interacted with fans, signing autographs. He was, however, cautious during fielding drills, avoiding high catches and opting for shadow batting on the sidelines.
