Prince William is frustrated over Meghan Markle's alleged attempt to channel Princess Diana - Report

Though it has been noticed that Prince William believes in maintaining silence when it comes to his bond with his estranged brother (Prince Harry) and sister-in-law (Meghan Markle), recently it has come to attention that is not so happy with Meghan Markle’s alleged attempt to channel Princess Diana. According to a palace insider, Megan’s alleged attempt to copy Princess Diana has left Prince William seething.
This revelation by an insider came after recently a social media post featured Meghan in a purple Northwestern University sweatshirt. The similarity of her look to the one worn by Diana in 1996, has raised eyebrows. If the reports are to be believed, Prince William is reportedly furious, as he feels Meghan is using his late mother’s memory to grab attention.
In an interaction with Radar Online, the insider mentioned, “He’s always been incredibly protective of his mother’s legacy, and he sees Meghan’s repeated nods to Diana’s style as more than just fashion choices—they feel calculated.”
“Meghan and Harry have ruffled plenty of feathers in the royal family, but this latest stunt? It’s really struck a nerve. On the surface, wearing a college sweatshirt doesn’t seem like a big deal, but to William, it’s another calculated move,” added the insider.
Further, William’s frustration reportedly isn’t just about Meghan’s wardrobe choices. Megan has been accused of using Diana’s name and fame in their personal and business projects. For instance, her documentary ‘Harry & Meghan,’ had footage that showed Meghan holding their son Archie next to a framed photo of Diana. “Who’s that? Hi, Grandma. That’s Grandma Diana,” said Megan in the clip.
Several felt it was a sweet tribute and a heartwarming moment; critics saw it as another attempt to use Diana’s legacy for professional gains.
In addition to this, Meghan’s recently launched lifestyle company, which is a rebranded version of the now-failed American Riviera Orchard. Some royal watchers believe Megan is only subtly trying to use Diana’s timeless elegance to market her products.
“She’s opening herself up to criticism,” the insider continued. “Diana’s image should be preserved with dignity, not used as a marketing tool,” mentioned the insider.
If all this is true, is Megan’s tac tick working? Her latest project, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ met mixed reviews. So are the marketing tools backfiring? A million dollar question, which is yet to be answered.
