Pro-Palestinian activists deface Trump’s Scotland Golf Resort over his plan to empty Gaza and take over territory

Pro-Palestinian activists vandalised US President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Scotland in protest against his proposal to remove Gaza’s Palestinian population.
The activists painted “Gaza is not for sale” in large letters on the lawn of Trump Turnberry and sprayed red paint on the clubhouse walls.
The group, Palestine Action, claimed responsibility, saying that Trump treats Gaza “as if it were his property to dispose of as he likes.” They added that their action was meant to show him that his own property is not beyond “acts of resistance.”

Trump’s Turnberry golf course vandalised by pro-Palestine protesters

Police Scotland confirmed an investigation is underway following reports of damage to the resort early Saturday. Trump Turnberry on the other hand dismissed the vandalism as a “childish, criminal act” and said it would not affect business.
The protest comes as the future of Gaza remains uncertain following a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The first phase of the truce ended without a clear agreement on the next steps. Meanwhile, Trump has called for Gaza’s population to be permanently relocated so the US can take control of the area. Palestinians have strongly rejected any forced displacement.
Turnberry, one of the courses eligible to host the British Open, has not been selected for the tournament since Trump purchased it in 2014. The R&A, the organisation responsible for the Open, previously stated there were no immediate plans to return the event to Turnberry.
