Zahan Kapoor reacts to being privileged to carry the legacy of the Kapoor family: 'It is a do dhaari talvaar...'

Zahan Kapoor, the grandson of legendary actor Shashi Kapoor, recently opened up about the expectations and challenges that come with his lineage. The ‘Black Warrant‘ actor delved into the pressures of carrying forward his family’s cinematic legacy while also making a name for himself.
In a recent interview with India Today, Zahan stated, “Being the new Kapoor on the block is a common source of intrigue for many people. It’s interesting—both an advantage and a disadvantage. It is a do dhaari talvaar (double-edged sword).”
While many believe that belonging to a prominent film family guarantees a smooth career, Zahan was quick to counter that assumption, emphasising the importance of hard work.

The actor acknowledged that there is pressure and expectation, but his parents ensured that he never carried the weight of his legacy and taught him to be diligent with his own work. He believes that the way he conducts himself defines everything, even if he carries a great legacy.

As the grandson of the legendary Shashi Kapoor, Zahan understands the weight of his surname but is committed to carving out his own path. “What can I do about it? I can only work hard and try to make sure that my work reflects my dedication and perseverance. I want to learn and keep learning. That’s how I was raised by my parents. I do not take it for granted,” he asserted.
The actor made his debut with ‘Faraaz‘ in 2022. Zahan was last seen in ‘Black Warrant’ alongside Rahul Bhat, Sidhant Gupta, Anurag Thakur, and Paramvir Cheema.
