Vicky Kaushal’s period drama Chhaava continued to dominate the Indian box office as it entered its fourth week. The film, which received widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences, has collected an estimated total of Rs 492.05 crore in India.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, Chhaava earned around Rs 8.5 crore on its 22nd day across all languages. The film had a strong start, collecting Rs 219.25 crore in its opening week, followed by Rs 180.25 crore in the second and Rs 84.05 crore in the third. Despite being in its fourth week, the film has maintained a steady momentum, partly due to the recent release of its Telugu-dubbed version.
The Telugu version of Chhaava, which hit over 550 screens, has significantly impacted the film’s earnings. The dubbed version recorded an impressive 32.77% occupancy on Friday, far surpassing the 11.39% occupancy of the Hindi version. This regional release has played a key role in sustaining the film’s momentum in its four weeks.
With the current pace, Chhaava is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark in India soon. On the global front, the film has already raked in nearly Rs 700 crore, solidifying its status as one of the biggest box office hits of the year.
The film has also cemented its spot on the list of highest-grossing Vicky Kaushal starrers of all time. With the film maintaining its momentum, it is set to cross the Rs 500 crore mark on Saturday.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a grand historical war drama in which Vicky portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai.
As Chhaava continues its successful run, all eyes are now on its next milestone—crossing the coveted Rs 500 crore mark at the domestic box office.
