Resorts World Cruisesanniversary

Resorts World Cruises celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a grand open house event in Singapore, featuring certified Halal-friendly ships and the introduction of mascot Pin Pin.

Resorts World Cruises commemorated its second anniversary with a special ‘Open House’ event on June 23, 2024 (Sunday) in Singapore, showcasing its cruise ships, the Genting Dream and Resorts World One. The event, open for public registration, drew an impressive crowd of nearly 1,000 attendees, including business and travel partners, local authorities, and regional media representatives. Guests were treated to a dual celebration and an exclusive opportunity to explore the distinctive features of each ship. Highlights included interactions with the friendly crew, sneak peeks at onboard facilities, accommodations, entertainment, and a variety of delectable food and beverages.

This year’s anniversary marks a significant milestone for Resorts World Cruises, having welcomed nearly 3.3 million passengers aboard the Genting Dream and Resorts World One. With homeports in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, and now Jakarta, the cruise line is set to add Keelung and Dubai as new homeports in July and October, respectively. Both ships will continue to expand their reach across Asia, visiting over 30 destinations, including recent additions like Ho Chi Minh City, Con Son, Bangkok, Ko Samui, and Redang Island.

In celebration of the anniversary, Resorts World Cruises introduced its new mascot, Pin Pin, a charming, friendly, and adventurous character. Guests at the event were the first to meet Pin Pin, who loves cruising, traveling, and meeting new people. Pin Pin will be a regular presence on both ships, engaging with guests and promoting exciting activities and destinations. Additionally, visitors to the www.rwcruises.com website can join in the fun with Pin Pin to win exciting prizes.

At the celebration event, Mr. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises said “To have the Genting Dream and Resorts World One here together in Singapore for our 2 nd Anniversary is truly special. Today’s ‘Open House’ celebration is our way of thanking our valued guests and also to those that had supported us over the years. We are extremely delighted with the strong turnout, as we are able to share this joyous occasion with more guests and also introduce Pin Pin, our all-new mascot”.

As part of the celebration, Resorts World One joined Genting Dream in June to receive the official OIC/SMIIC* Standard Halal-Friendly Cruise Ship certification. With both ships now certified, Muslim travelers can enjoy the peace of mind and convenience of certified Halal cuisines and other Muslim-friendly services while cruising with Resorts World Cruises.

Resorts World Cruises continues to earn international accolades for its exceptional services and offerings. The cruise line was awarded ‘Best Cruise Line’ in both the ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Entertainment’ categories at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards for 2022 and 2023. Additionally, Resorts World Cruises won the ‘Best Cruise Line’ at the TTG Travel Awards 2023 and the ‘Best Asian Cruise Line Award’ at Hong Kong’s Headline Daily No.1 Fun Travel Awards.

The excitement continues throughout the year on our ‘Resorts Cruising at Sea’ ships with many attractive itineraries. Guests can embark on the Genting Dream year-round from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) for 2, 3, or 4-night cruises between these cities, as well as to Penang and Phuket.

Resorts World One will maintain its 5-night cruises between Singapore and Jakarta, including a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, until early July 2024. Starting July 12, 2024, Resorts World One will begin sailings from Keelung and Kaohsiung with 2, 4, and 5-night cruises to Kyushu and Okinawa in Japan, visiting destinations like Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Sasebo, Nagasaki, Naha, Miyakojima, and Ishigaki. From October 18, 2024, to April 13, 2025, Resorts World One will homeport in the Arabian Gulf, departing from Dubai, UAE, offering a range of cruises including the 2-night Sir Bani Yas Weekend Cruise, the 3-night Oman Cruise to Khasab and Muscat, and the 2-night Doha Cruise.
