Samay Raina is depressed after the whole 'India's Got Latent' controversy, says his friend Youtuber Shwetabh Gangwar: 'Toota hua hai woh insaan'

Samay Raina has found himself in the midst of controversy ever since Ranveer Allahbadia made a comment on his show ‘India’s Got Latent‘. Ranveer’s remark to a contestant about parental sex did not go down well on the internet and the Youtuber faced a lot of backlash. Several FIRs were also filed against Samay, Ranveer and others who were on that particular episode – Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chachlani.
Now Samay’s friend, Youtuber Shwetabh Gangwar has revealed that Samay is going through a tough time after this controversy. He is in a state of depression. Gangwar said, “Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan (He is a broken man). When the controversy first erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him last time, I saw a broken man… depressed, sad, scared.”
He further added, “I was emotionally drained. I couldn’t see my friend like that.” Shwetabh also said that Ranveer, Apoorva and Ashish are also going through difficult times.
The Supreme Court has now given relief to Ranveer. Justice Surya Kant said in his order, “We know some people writing articles in the name of freedom of speech, etc…we know how to handle them also…in this country, there is nothing like a fundamental right on platter…the fundamental rights are all followed by a duty…unless those people understand duty, there is no deal with that kind of elements…if somebody wants to enjoy fundamental rights, this country gives a guarantee to enjoy, but guarantee is with a duty so that guarantee will involve performing that duty also.”
He further allowed Ranveer to continue with this show and said, “These youngsters are being overly smart. They think we are probably an outdated generation. One of them has gone to Canada and spoken there. They don’t know the jurisdiction this Court enjoys and what can be done. We don’t want to take action because they are young; we understand.”
