NEW DELHI: India captain Rohit Sharma, star batter Virat Kohli, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and the rest of Team India have arrived in Dubai for the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to begin on February 19. The two-time Champions Trophy winners will start their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a blockbuster clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23, before wrapping up their Group A fixtures against New Zealand on March 2.
India are eyeing their second Champions Trophy title since 2013, when MS Dhoni led them to glory in England. With the tournament kicking off on February 19, the Men in Blue are eager to add another ICC trophy to their collection.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma, sporting a crisp white T-shirt and black tracks, stepped out of his car and walked toward the departure lounge at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, greeted by loud chants of “Rohit bhai” and “Rohit sir” from fans.

Most of the squad members, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, vice-captain Shubman Gill, and star batter Virat Kohli, arrived in the team bus. Several players acknowledged the enthusiastic supporters by signing autographs and waving before heading inside.
The team then boarded their afternoon flight to Dubai, carrying with them heightened expectations of another global triumph following their T20 World Cup victory last June.
Despite missing pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, India’s confidence has been bolstered by their recent 3-0 ODI series whitewash against England. Fans at the Mumbai airport will be hoping that Rohit, Kohli, and the rest of the squad can deliver yet another memorable ICC triumph, just as they did in the West Indies last year.
