In 1940, some teenagers stumbled upon the entrance of this cave, and they discovered a mysterious cave that is covered in hundreds of Paleolithic drawings. These drawings are made of mineral pigments and charcoal, known as “the Lascaux Paintings,” which are around 17,000 years old. What makes it interesting is that the purpose and meaning behind the construction of this cave is unknown, and scientists seek to understand that and also dig deeper into the lives of our ancestors.
