In January this year, Anand Mahindra posted an inspiring #MondayMotivation tweet on X, where he shared his childhood experience of learning backflips and how he learned a great life lesson from this experience. Mahindra said that as a kid, he initially thought that he didn’t have the innate skills to learn backflips and had almost giveup on learning it. But, with practice and consistent efforts he finally learnt it. Looking back to this childhood memory, he emphasised on the importance of consistent practice that can help one be successful. Combined with a proper method, he shared that even tasks that seem impossible can become achievable.

Mahindra’s tweet read: “I gave up trying to learn backflips as a kid presuming I didn’t have the innate skill required. But with the application of method & practice, we can achieve what may initially seem impossible for us to do…” He even shared a video of a Taekwondo school in Korea where the teacher taught the difficult task by breaking it into smaller, doable steps.
