New Delhi:
At least three people, including two tourists from Maharashtra, were killed in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath in a landslide triggered by rains today, officials said.
Eight people were also injured in the accident, which occurred between Gaurikund and Chirbasa in Kedarnath, a town in Rudraprayag district known for the famous Kedarnath Temple.
The third person who has died has been identified as a resident of the Rudraprayag district.
Earlier in the day, the Gangotri National Highway near Bishanpur was closed due to a landslide.
